I agree totally with what you say and am aware that I am SO lucky in so many ways compared to many people in the world. And that is why I feel that I should really do more to live as a free human being, as far as possible.
Because I have the chance to live a truly wonderful life I should try to be as close to 100% of what I have the potential to be.
I agree with you too on the passivity of many people in this country, perhaps that is because people are comfortable for the most part and so they are unwilling to rock the boat, or even be aware that they have a boat that needs rocking!!

your problems with freedom are of the course the problems of the privileged - you're free not to starve to death, you've free to access free healthcare, or free education, you're (reasonably) free to aspire, you're free to ignore the process which lead to those freedoms in the first place.

i have significant problems with the way the current government has eroded civil liberties in this country over the last ten years but what dismays me is the passive in way in which the people (i believe in an entity called the people - hark at me!) not only accept it but embrace it. section 44and all that surrounds it? it makes me despair.

the liberty site is as good a site to start at as any if you're frustrated with google

Thank you. It is exciting to have a new project underway, especially after so long not making work. I expect that it is quite common for artists to experience those 'dead' times, but it is quite nerve-wracking when you are in the middle of it. Of course it is just quite time for ideas to burble away undisturbed. Like making wine with your brain.
