Doodlings

Quick drawings done while sitting in the gallery - very hot and a bit bored!

quick biro doodle done while sitting in the gallery - unfortunately I can't find a copy of this painting on the web, I'll go back to work and try to find the reference.

A random doodle

--------------------------------

Me and my friend Nathan tried to get a project going a couple years ago that sadly never got made. Nathan was interested in making a performance that had elements of flamenco in the movement and he wanted me to look at ideas for costume. He had in mind perhaps a dress, maybe with boots and a shaven head; these are a couple of the working drawings I produced at our first meeting.

And I don't quite know what I was thinking with this drawing! I think I just wanted him to look evil. A lovely photograph of Nathan taken by my husband is here.

----------------------------------

I'm a pathological doodler. An' I love my doodles. But I never show my doodles. I prefer my random doodling and personal drawings to anything 'proper' wot I have made, and I'd love to just draw like this all the time and perhaps even make a living with this work. But I am also very critical of my drawings and so I don't usually show them.
However, I really want to make drawing my future, so I have decided to start by sharing some doodles with you.
So here they are, doodlings done while I was in a meeting on Thursday. Believe me when I tell you that these are a minute sample of the hundreds of ramblings I have drawn over the years.
This set is presented in order of the meeting, so you can see how I was feeling at the beginning(positive) and at the end(murderous).

I can't think of a comment that would do justice to the multi levels of your "doodlings". But I observe and acknowledge and encourage the continuing unfolding/expansion.

Hey love the unfolding of the story, what I wonder is who is the clown at this meeting, laughable and sinister ...
